Miley Cyrus Discusses Fluidity, Homelessness, and Animal Rights

We all know that Miley Cyrus has been in the news a lot—and for a lot of different reasons. Some of these reasons haven’t always been the most important of topics. However, recently she has been in the headlines discussing topics that are becoming more and more important to open up and discuss. She is helping to pioneer the road to gain a broader understanding of the importance of these topics.

Miley recalls opening up to her mom when she was fourteen years old about her romantic feelings for not just boys, but also girls. She told her mom (about girls), “I love them. I love them like I love boys.” She has recently “confessed” to being what the majority of the world considers to be bisexual, but what she refers to as fluidity. She says that she herself doesn’t relate to being male or female. Neither does she require that her partner relates to being male or female. So long as they are of a legal consenting age and they are open to loving her, she says she is open to loving them as well.

She also discussed how she feels driving down the road in a Porsche and seeing homeless people on the side of the road. She says she sees every day these rich people pulling up in their Rolls Royces and Bentleys and she can’t sit around and do nothing about it. She wants to help these people who have so much less than she does.

Finally, Miley discusses her decision to become vegan. Last year while she was on tour, her dog was mauled by a coyote. She immediately stopped eating meat and hasn’t touched it since.
